I'll dominate 'credible fighter' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" the American and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize the upcoming bout.

Former twice world boxing king Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted British opponent Fury - and rejected a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Paul's History

Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought MMA fighters or faded names since turning professional.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in 2023.

Commercial Success

Still, the relative newcomer remains one of boxing's biggest money-making draws, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old forecast a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Physical Disparity

As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how unlikely this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
